Things have changed recently, wondering what's going on?!
"New year, new me" - that's how the saying goes, right? Well... we're not quite reinventing ourselves totally, but we're definitely planning on making some changes.
Streamerr, or SHOUTca.st as we were previously known by, was a business founded upon innovation - we love creating new products for our worldwide clients, but we've fallen short of our own expectations over the past year or so. Unfortunately, the direction of our business changed and due to circumstances beyond our control, development stalled, which meant we couldn't plough as much time into products such as Cast, DJ & Studio in as we would've liked to.
Now though, armed with a newly recruited development & infrastructure team, we're ready to start innovating the industry again... so, what do we have planned?
Studio
Studio is our own control panel, historically housing a few extra Centova Cast features as well as the ability to control your Cast node. We'll be entirely overhauling this to make it the central client area, you'll be able to register/login/pay invoices, control your services, access your new features from one easy to access place - with a reimagined design and sophisticated codebase, Studio will be 10x the control panel we have currently.
Cast
Cast is our own streaming software, but we'll be rebranding Cast and giving it a lick of paint, plus we'll be kickstarting the development of the Auto DJ feature that's been long-awaited by hundreds of clients.
Plans & Features
We don't intend to be making any huge adjustments to our pricing structure just yet, so don't worry - we're proud to provide cost effective yet stable services to all of our clients. We also provide an outstanding level of customer service, even on Christmas Day. However, we'll be adding some extras to our existing plans. As we speak, we're investigating solutions for mass providing iOS/Android apps, Alexa skills, Google Home actions and so much more to our clients - eventually, these will all be accessible by the powerful panel that is Studio.
Licensing
We're entering into discussions with the various licensing agencies that currently serve the US, Canada & UK, to potentially offer licensed plans. This means, one fixed fee will cover your royalty licensing as well as your streaming - this means you're fully above board, with no nasty surprises. We'll take care of everything for you, from royalty reporting to renewal & compliance - let us handle that, so you can focus on creating quality radio.
Infrastructure
We've already made a decent amount of headway on our infrastructure overhaul, we've migrated all of our internal services from a nasty mess of multiple servers & nodes, to a nice tidy internal network - increasing stability for our clients. We intend to carry on our hard work with our Centova Cast, AzuraCast and MediaCP servers. We don't intend to stop offering these anytime soon, so we're committed to offering the highest quality hardware to go with these great control panels.
